THIS RUFFLE IS RIBBON INSTEAD OF FABRIC AND I LOVE IT! I made this exact one in newborn, 6m, and 9m - but that's all I have so email me today if you want one!

I will have some uber-cute red, white, and blue ruffle onsies up later this weekend! I can do any color combo you want, these are just some I whipped up!

She started as a sketch...

And then turned into this adorable, cuddly, and silly Giraffe

So this is JC the giraffe.  I actually "pinned" a cute giraffe on Pinterest a few weeks ago and that is where I got the idea.  I've been carrying her around in my mind since then, and finally sat down yesterday and sketched her out real quick.  Then this morning I made myself a pattern and found some scratch material, just in case it didn't work out, and JC was born! I absolutely love the way she turned out.  You can get your own JC in any color - girl colors, boy colors, or bright colors - you name it and I will make it for you! She is a softie sort of like the bunnies.  $12 for one or 2 for $20.  Send me an email at to place your order!

If you want to try sewing but do not know where to start go to Shiny Happy World. Wendi Gratz has created an amazing blog with lessons, patterns, and great ideas.  She even has video tutorials to go with every pattern. Her patterns are inexpensive and easy to follow and most are an easy download right from your email and you can get started right away.  I use many of her patterns for the things I create and they are by far my favorite over all the other patterns I have used.  Sewing is a great way to relax and de-stress (unless you get a knot or a jam in your machine - and then just take a deep breath and pour yourself a glass of wine while you slowly and patiently get all the kinks out!) It really is like therapy, and when you are done you have something beautiful that you have created all on your own.  HAPPY SEWING!

Best Friends

Both love soccer and ice cream!

Izzy and Abby

Didn't even want to put her down to clap her hands!
These adorable rag dolls are perfect for little girls to love and take everywhere, like my girls do.  Izzy went to the doctor with Harper today for tests, while Abby went with Billie to Grandma's house over night.

I got the pattern for these precious dolls from Shiny Happy World, Wendi Gratz created them and they are super fun and not very hard to make.  If you have a machine, you can make them.  Just follow her easy and friendly instructions, she even has videos to help you if you don't know or understand something.  The dolls take a full day to make, but they are so much fun to create.  So just hop on over to Shiny Happy World, buy the pattern and then download it, it is that simple (and they are on sale today, too!) The only challenging part is putting the doll together once you have all the arms, head, and legs pinned it gets very tight.  But as long as you take your time you will be just fine.

If you do not have time or do not want to make one for yourself, I will make them for you! Just let me know hair color, style, and eye color and of course color scheme for the doll (Billie's is in purples and Harper's is pink/green, but I can do any color you request).  I can do high pony tails, low pony tails, or curlz and I can put bows on them or no bows.  Any color skin, too! You dream it up and I will create the perfect rag doll for your little girl. The dolls are all one of a kind, and I created these two to match my girl's features and personalities and I am sure that is why they instantly fell in love with these sweeties. The dolls are $23 a piece or 2 for $40 (plus shipping if you are not local.) Just send me an email with your order to

She absolutely loved not being strapped into her car seat/stroller.  I refused to put her in a buggy at the store until I had one of these wonderful covers! It even has pockets in it for you phone and keys!
$35 - plus shipping if you are not local.

$23 for two colors, $27 for three - plus shipping if you are not local
This is my daughter, Harper Grace on her 1st birthday which we just celebrated April 23, 2012.  She loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse, so I made her this dress and toy mat, and then planned the party around it.

Aren't they cute in the ears we made? This is Billie, my 11 year old, holding her
Yellow and Gray - Two color version - $23 - plus shipping
This is a three color version- $27 - plus shipping
I just love these pillow case dresses.  They are very fun to make and to wear.  You can make them all sorts of fun and pretty colors with sweet soft bows or big bright bows.  I can make any size from 6 mos up to a 12, which is what my daughters each wear, respectfully, and I love putting them in matching dresses.  I just need your preferred colors and some measurements.  I can also make matching ruffle pants, more pics of that later.

Introducing sweet Addison Lane, could she be any cuter?! Love this little miracle baby!
Here she is with her softie bunny! Addison was born at 25 weeks gestation, just 1 pound 8 ounces.  She is the definition of strength and determination.  She fought so hard to be here today. She just celebrated her 1st birthday!
This is a three-color version of the dress - $27 - plus shipping if you are not local
This is the pillow case dress I made for Addison for her 1st birthday gift.  She is so perfect, she makes the dress! If you want a pillow case dress, I just need to know size (like 6 mos, 1 year, etc.), length and weight of child(if you know this), and color scheme (this was brown and pink).

Welcome to JC Stitches.  I began sewing clothes and dolls for my own children and as shower and birthday gifts to the children of my friends and family.  After many flattering comments and requests, I decided it was time to offer my simple talents to those who might appreciate a hand-crafted doll or dress to give to their own children or as a gift to a child they love.  I wanted to do something that will help others a little (OK, not important help like being a NICU nurse, but still helping) and bring smiles to the faces of children.  I hope you will find something here that will do just that.  The dolls are soft and huggable, and a little whimsical.  They are all different and special because they are hand-made by me, with sweet embroidered noses, eyes, and mouths and with materials hand-picked to be soft, warm, and cuddly! The dresses are so fun and one-of-a-kind, too.  Just tell me the color pallet you want and I will create something just for you.  I will try to honor any request you have if it is at all within my power, so just email me if you do not see something here that you find to be exactly what you were looking for.  Whenever I can, I will also share the link for the pattern so if you would rather make it yourself you will be able to.  Sewing is fun and relaxing and I encourage everyone to give it a try! Keep checking back, I will be adding new items as quickly as I can perfect them!
